Mrinalini Tewari ­­­­­­is an Indian Award-Winning Filmmaker, Music Producer and Singer-Songwriter. Her debut documentary film Echoes from the soil of Kashmir won several awards at national and international level. Mrinalini recently directed and produced Ruins and Remains, a film based on Kristi community in Maharashtra. Her documentary film Echoes from the rivers of Uttar Pradesh was shot for over sixty days extensively in Uttar Pradesh, one of the biggest states in India. Mrinalini also directed Umrao Jan Ada, a cinematic version of the epic musical play Umrao Jan Ada. This play is one of the biggest plays that have happened in the Indian theater industry. During lockdown she directed & produced a lockdown film for Broadview TV Germany. Based out of Mumbai, Mrinalini is also one of the leading contemporary musicians in India. Trained as an Indian classical singer she bridges across different genres of music like Hindustani classical music and folk music with jazz. She has given music and been the voice for various Ad films, short films, documentaries and feature films and has also performed across many India’s leading musical festival stages. She is now working on her new solo ‘Naina Milake’ an Indian classical melody in which she is collaborating with artists around the world. She has six years of marketing professional experience in the media industry & has worked with the biggest entertainment group in India, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited.
