Jacopo Bucciantini was born in 1993 in Arezzo. From an early age he is attracted to artistic disciplines such as cinema, music and visual art. In adolescence, he practices composition and he plays in various music projects, as a drummer, traveling throughout Europe on tours and recording sessions. He graduates in Philosophy at the University of Florence in 2017, then he graduates in Neuroaesthetics at the University of Pisa.
Over the years, he realizes video arts, films and artistic exhibitions as curator. Some of his most important projects are: “Narrazioni Misteriche — I Miti della Magna Grecia secondo Raffaele De Rosa” (artistic exhibition at Palazzo della Cultura “Pasquino Crupi” in Reggio Calabria, as curator and director of four video art installations); “Passi” (short film produced by Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri, which he conceived and directed in 2022); “Terra — La nascita dell’opera di Andrea Roggi” (artistic exhibition in Accademia dei Georgofili in Florence, as curator and director of a video art); the documentary “Peso Morto” by Francesco Del Grosso (as director assistant and set design); the documentary “Illuminando la storia" by Romeo Conte (as director assistant); the documentary “Come un grillo nell’uragano”, about the actor Carlo Monni, directed by Romeo Conte and produced by Fair Play, as cinematographer. Currently, he is shooting a full-length documentary, as director and screenwriter.
Furthermore, Jacopo held the role of assistant director for Stefano Ricci’s 50th anniversary fashion show, in Luxor (Egypt), in October 2022, directing Andrea Bocelli's three performances. He held the role of director for the presentations of the winter and the summer collections "Explorer" by Stefano Ricci, respectively at Fiesole Public Theatre and Teatro Gerolamo in Milan.
He directed two editions of the “Castiglioni Film Festival” (2019 and 2020) and has been co-artistic director of the “Prato Film Festival” since 2021 and vice-artistic director of the “Safiter” film festival (traveling festival in Puglia) since 2021. He has directed the art magazine “L’ulcera del signor Wilson” (distributed European-wide in dual languages) from 2016 to 2022.
