Mojtaba Bahadori is an award-winning poet, filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist with a multifaceted artistic journey that spans across various mediums. His artistic journey began at age of 11 when he first stepped onto the stage in the world of theatre. By the age of 13, his passion for storytelling led him to write his inaugural teaser play, marking the inception of his poetic journey.
By the age of 16, Mojtaba ventured into the world of video, embarking on a creative exploration that would eventually lead him towards his passion for filmmaking. At the age of 20, he embarked on a formal path of cinematic education at the Film School of Tehran. It was during this transformative period that he had the privilege of participating in workshops led by the legendary filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami, further enriching his artistic perspective.
Concurrently, Mojtaba was nurturing his hanger for capturing the world's essence through the lens of his camera.
Upon completing his studies in Tehran, Mojtaba Bahadori embarked on an artistic expedition to the vibrant city of Paris. There, he collaborated on numerous projects with the esteemed Louis Lumière School, showcasing his talents as a cinematographer, light technician, and actor.
Mojtaba's curiosity and fascination with the earth's hidden treasures, stones, and natural minerals, propelled him to venture to Antwerp, Belgium, to delve into the realm of Gemology. This unique academic pursuit would eventually inspire his creation of visual works that celebrated some of the world's most iconic gems.
Over the years, Mojtaba Bahadori had the incredible opportunity to work alongside and learn from distinguished directors such as Chantal Akerman and Béla Tarr. His cinematic creations have consistently reflected his deep-seated interests in literature, poetry, and his enduring passion for crafting narratives that explore the human connection to nature and self. His cinematic style embodies poetry and conceptualism, illuminating the beauty of this profound intersection between human emotion and the natural world.

Mojtaba Bahadori studied cinema at the University of Art ( Cinematography) in Tehran, as well as fashion photography. A filmmaker, photographer, and performer, in addition to having worked as an editor, his photographic and installation work has been featured in several solo and group exhibitions. In 2007, he won the Ibdaa Prize in anthropological photography.
In 2015, he conducted 12 video performances at the Le Lac collective in Brussels. His installation "The Colors of Memory" was presented at the Boum Festival in Belgium in 2017. He also participated as a technician and editor in the plays "Not my Paradise" and "Reason to Talk" from 2016 to 2017 at KVS (Royal Flemish Theatre of Belgium).
This profound visual and environmental journey of his film was internationally recognized when On Melting Snow received the Award of Best Film of the Year for Climate Change at COP 29 during the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
