Mohammad Alsheikh was born in Damascus, Syria, in 1997. His youth was influenced by a time of uncertainties and a lack of perspectives, which strongly shaped the lives of young people during this time.
Amid this turbulent environment, at the age of 14, he received an extraordinary gift from his father that would change the course of his life: his first camera.
With this gift, he not only begins his adventure in photography, but also his journey into the world of the images and their components.
Photography quickly became Mohammad 's passionate obsession. It became a creative expression and refuge for the nuances of his feelings, the palette of his emotions, the beauty and aesthetics of the world.
At the age of 18, he graduated high school and began studying in Damascus. In 2016, he came to Munich on a student visa, learned the German language and began studying computer science at the University of Passau in 2018.
Even in Germany, his passion for the powerful world of images never left him. He continuously deepens his knowledge and skills, takes advantage of every opportunity for further education, and expands his understanding in the fields of art, lighting, and photography.
In 2019, he moved from Passau to Hamburg and continued his computer science studies at the university there. In Hamburg, he began to present his pictures at exhibitions and financed his studies as a portrait photographer in a Hamburg photo studio. In addition, he works as a freelance leader of photography workshops, particularly in projects that support young refugees.
Between 2020 and 2021, he attended some films workshops and in 2022, he directed his first 30-minute short film, NEXT STATION.
