If you’re a filmmaker, Miles TX is a must-visit. The area offers exceptional shooting locations, and we’re here to help you access them. Be sure to check out the HTV YouTube channel, where we discuss your movies. We understand the filmmaking process intimately, ensuring all feedback is supportive and positive. If you will need a booth for the event, please let us know. There will be no charge for the booth if you have submitted a film

Awards & Prizes

Building on the excitement of the festival announcement, we are pleased to outline the recognition opportunities for participating filmmakers. Every official selection will be honored at the convention, where each category winner will receive a certificate of achievement. In addition to certificates, attendees can look forward to receiving a commemorative trophy. Please note that you must attend the event in person to receive your trophy.

Rules & Terms

By submitting your film, you agree to the following terms and conditions: the film must have a run time of 30 minutes or less, and you must be the legal owner or have explicit permission to submit the film for festival consideration. A submission fee applies. We are actively working to secure discounted hotel rates for all attendees.

    The first year of any film festival is only an indication of how the festival will grow and as hard as Shane and his crew worked, I have no doubt it’s going to be a big, fun, gory horror show for many years to come.
    The convention was epic and the facility was luxurious. We met wonderful people to collaborate with but as the festival grows that will gain exponentially.
    I loved the films they chose and we were so honored to take away Best Horror Short for Pete & Re-Pete. Don’t miss this one as they expand and grow, and don’t miss getting some terrific gumbo while you are in town.
