My name is Mobin Hajilooie (b. 2000), and I am currently studying Acting at the Islamic Azad University of Tehran, Sohank branch. I am deeply drawn to writing and directing, where my focus lies on exploring human transgression and existential struggle.
My short films Dark Room and Zhina have been selected as nominates, Finalists and Semi-Finalists at several international festivals, and I have received two awards and many honourable mention for my work(Dark room ) so far.
Through a Kafkaesque lens, I seek to question the “why” behind life’s crises—capturing the absurd, the oppressive, and the fragile space where meaning dissolves into silence.
For me, cinema is not a vehicle for clarity, but an encounter with uncertainty—so the audience may confront their own truths, or the absence of them.
