Matthew Kim is writer/director based in Santa Cruz, California. Inspired by working-class stories and his proximity to immigrant populations, Kim has worked in documentary photography, AAPI documentary work, and narrative film. His undergraduate thesis film Conventional Green, grapples with the portrayal of traditional masculinity in film and the perspectives of blue-collar Asian Americans.
