Minimal Short Film Festival is a collaboration between the cultural society Franks and the community art center Argelino Art, both influenced by the ABC art movement. As the festival plans its screenings in Stockholm, Sweden, it absorbs Scandinavian aesthetics, providing an ideal space for showcasing art grounded in simplicity and sophistication.

Within this festival, our audiences and participants enter a world where ideas are presented in the format of minimalism, liberated from symbolic intricacies and metaphors. The festival aims to establish a simple yet profound visual language, expressing art through the subtlety of form and the ability to convey the philosophy of aestheticism.

At the forefront is the endeavor to find a simplified essence in creative chaos, emphasizing the significance of each element. We perceive art not merely as a means of self-expression but also as an objective reflection of existing ideas and thoughts. This platform transforms minimalism into more than just a form of expression; it becomes a key to understanding depth and meaning.

In conclusion, we are conducting a competitive selection of films as part of the festival program. We welcome submissions from all genres, but only short films will be considered. Following the review of all entries, our jury members will determine the winners and compile a shortlist. We eagerly anticipate showcasing the diverse talents and creativity within the realm of short filmmaking at Minimal Short Film Festival.

EVENT

This will be an annual showcase that will bring together students, university professors, film critics, and cinema enthusiasts. The showcase is planned to take place in a modern cinema with a capacity of 150 people, fully equipped for comfortable viewing according to all standards.

To ensure maximum audience coverage, we will organize seasonal selection (every 3-4 months) and have established partnerships with three film clubs and cultural venues in the community of Stockholm, Sweden. We will alternate and present seasonal winners during these film club events, each offering its unique atmosphere and audience. This approach allows us to reach diverse groups of cinema lovers.
