Raised in a salmon fishing family in Washington state, I eventually drove to Los Angeles to Work In The Movies. Problem was, I couldn't get work in production, but I got tons in post production. So I ended up working for Roger Corman in the 80s and then editing direct to video schlock in the 90s until making a lot of money cutting trailers for the last fifteen years. Won a bunch of awards, got divorced, re-assessed my life--you know the drill. I'm married with two kids who unfortunately inherited my sass. My great-grandmother was right when she told me I'd have kids one day just like me. I worked in The Industry long enough to become disillusioned like everyone else grinding their lives away on whatever the ridiculous daily deadline was. It hardens you. I started to lose my love of movies. I felt lost. I was depressed that I'd come to L.A. thirty-two years ago to make a movie and I'd never really done that. And one morning I was laying in bed reading the r/filmmakers sub-Reddit and I thought, 'Hey, if these kids can buy a camera and make a movie, so can I.' So I did. Along with my family and friends helping, we made a pretty good one. And though I don't know where I'll go from here... I don't feel lost anymore.
