Hello! I'm Maxine!

I'm a transgender screenwriter and filmmaker from Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's Media Production program with a certificate in Creative Writing.

My work primarily consists of queer focused dramas and comedies, with a knack for dialog and character-driven films. I feel like I could write a million stories about being queer and still not run out of things to say. There's an intangible feeling of warmth, fear, beauty, frustration, and overwhelming joy that comes from queerness. A feeling that I'm determined to spend the rest of my life trying to portray on camera. My identity is not only a driving force, it bleeds into all my work. All of my art is queer.

I currently produce all of my films under the collective name "Deer Eating Crows", along with my brilliant co-writer, Julez Swartz. I'll be posting updates about our projects, how to support them, and where to watch them as information comes out.
