Marina Potapova is a well known Russian author for film and an independent artist. She was born on April 15, 1983 in Leningrad. In her early career she was associated with the artistic union “For Anonymous and Free Art” (ZAiBI). Later she became notorious for being the founder and ideologue of the creative association "SVOI2000". Its independently produced movies, the most famous of them being “Dust” and “Shapito-Show”, are critically acclaimed and highly rated by the audience. 2013 Marina went solo: She produced a few short films and worked as a video-producer for the state museums in Moscow. Since 2017 she has been living in Germany.
