Marina Schneider is a Brazilian filmmaker and writer. Through fiction and documentary, she interrogates issues of gender, sexuality and territory through magical realism.
She holds a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences with a specialization in Cinema and Television (NOVA FCSH, Portugal) and a Bachelor's degree with curricular scholarship in Cinema with specialization in Screenwriting (UBI, Portugal).
Her debut feature screenplay, "Eguncio", was awarded at the Festival de Roteiro de Língua Portuguesa GUIÕES (Portugal) and at the development lab of Nuevas Miradas — EICTV (Cuba), in 2024. In Brazil, the project was a finalist at the FRAPA Lab (2022), Concurso Narratologia (2022) and selected for Brasil CineMundi (2024).
In 2024, Marina directed, produced, and conceptualized the documentary "Dentro, fora do Brasil", nominated for the Grand National Prize at FEST — New Directors | New Films Festival. As a screenwriter, she has developed projects for Sopro Filmes, BRO Cinema, Moira Pictures, West Coast Films, and Ao Norte.
