Marcelo Briceño is a filmmaker based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Briceño debuted as a director with his documentary short film Nostalgia (2018), winner of third place in the Identity and Belonging competition at the Guanajuato International Film Festival, also participating in Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner. In addition, he has participated in a multitude of audiovisual projects, directing music videos, and collaborated as a screenwriter in independent productions. Briceño currently teaches at the Universidad de Medios Audiovisuales CAAV, as well as being a partner in the production company Hexagrama 24 Studio.
