Makena Costlow is the Senior Video Editor at TMG Studios. Prior to that, she worked as a Visual Effects Editor at FuseFX. At FuseFX, Makena has worked on FX’s American Horror Story, Hulu’s Pam & Tommy, Amazon’s Modern Love, and HBO’s Emmy Award winning show, The Flight Attendant.

She previously worked as a Visualization Editor at The Third Floor, Inc. in which she edited the visualization for HBO’s Lovecraft Country, Marvel's Loki, WandaVision, Ms. Marvel, and Hawkeye, and DC’s Stargirl. She was accepted into The Third Floor Inc.’s Directing Masterclass program in which she directed "Affluenza", a pitch project for a dramedy feature film concept.

Makena received an education in film directing at Chapman University. She graduated with a B.F.A. in Film Production with an emphasis in directing and minor in Music Technology. Her senior thesis film, "Mother of the Year", made its west coast debut at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival and won Best Student Film at the Brightside Tavern Film Festival.
