My name is Ly Minh Ba, a young filmmaker born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam. Currently, Ba is studying Film at Hoa Sen University (2021 - Present); Film Director at Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema (2019 - 2022) and has recently graduated from a short course at the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA).

In the summer at the age of 17, Ba made my first short film in high school. After the screening in class, Ba returned home with a very special feeling and knew that cinema would be the path to pursue.

Since then, Ba has been practising making various short films with friends. Gradually, Ba felt more confident in himself after completing two short films "Humming Wood" (Fiction, 11min, 2022) and "Glorious Nightfall" (Fiction, 21min, 2023) which won Top 5 Best Performance at CJ Short Film Projects 2023. 

Presently, I am in the process of developing my debut feature film, "Raging Youth”, while also laying the groundwork for my film company, "Blue Door Pictures”, focused on producing independent films in Vietnam.
