LUCIA LALOR (Buenos Aires, 1993) wrote and directed the short films : “Igneous Journal” (2022- shot during the eruption of the volcano in La Palma- Festifreak), “Notes from a Dromedary” (2022- POFF Shorts) done with the mentorship of Werner Herzog, and "Cambie las Ventanas de mi Casa" (2022- screened at the Pompidou Museum in Paris), “Paulina” (2017) and “Azul” (2019- Bafici).
She studied film direction at Universidad del Cine de Buenos aires, and also participated in: IDFA Academy, Locarno Documentary School, Interaction Docs Serbia, Werner Herzog Film Accelerator, Ji Hlava Academy and Programa de Cine DiTella.
Nowadays she is focused in her first two features: an autobiographical documentary "Mam" and a fiction called "Saturn Return" both produced by the Argentinian production company Gale Cine.
Regarding "MAM" it participated in the following residencies and festivals:
-IDFA Academy (Amsterdam, november 2022)
-SANFIC Santiago Lab (Chile, august 2022) where it won the FIC Guadalajara prize to participate in the co production forum at the 2023 Festival (Mexico)
-Dok Lab Navarra (2 week residency in Pamplona, Spain- september 2022)
Regarding "Saturn Return" it was selected for the international script competition at the HABANA FILM FESTIVAL (Cuba, december 2022).
