Lisa Marie Tedesco (she/they) is an award-winning filmmaker and founder of Paper Plane Entertainment operating in New Haven, New York City and Los Angeles.
With the company, and production team, she strives to create content that positively represents the LGBTQIA+ community, both in front and behind the camera. Their motto encompasses the words “Breaking All Barriers” and frequently uses the hashtag #RepresentationMatters to enforce the value and need for diversity in filmmaking.
Her first-ever short film, August in the City, won critical acclaim on the film festival circuit from 2017 all the way up until the present-day, with a screening held at the prestigious Festival de Cannes.
Her second film, House of La Reine, finished the film festival circuit with over three dozen acceptances into national and international fests.
Her award-winning short script turned short film, The Paradise Road, has won accolades globally, with screenings at Dances With Films LA/NY, Sidewalk FF, and WorldFest Houston. This new romance/drama stars Mandahla Rose and Shelly Ro and was shot on location in Ensenada, Mexico.
Tedesco has a passion for screenwriting. Her new rom/com “Olivia Colman Says My Farts Don’t Stink” has already scooped up accolades on Coverfly making the coveted Red List for comedy and will HOPEFULLY be shot in London early 2027.
Their new romcom, queer Hallmarky screenplay, Love on the Lift is now in pre production and will be shot in Los Angeles later this year!
