I am a UK actor and film maker. I branched into filmmaking for a few reasons. Firstly I have always loved writing and storytelling and discovered from my work as an actor and artist that I also have a strong visual language I wanted to able able to translate and the only way that was possible would be for me to write my own work.
I sat back for a long time while on set and watched the craft of film making before venturing behind the camera. The other reason is I wanted to take control of my own career, as an actor your fortunes are largely based on others decisions. I wanted to be that decision maker.
My projects are largely influenced by true stories typically leaning towards the darker side of human nature and that can be seen throughout in the stories and work I create.
