Leo Saint Thomas is a multilingual actor, screenwriter, and emerging filmmaker whose work explores the quiet tension between reality and perception, where the ordinary begins to shift and something more subtle, sometimes surreal, emerges.
Born in France in 2001 and raised in Switzerland, he works across French, English, and German, moving fluidly between cultures and artistic environments. As an actor, he has built experience in both theatre and film, with roles ranging from grounded, naturalistic performances to more stylized and expressive characters. His recent screen work includes The Second Coming (lead, post production 2025), 111 (supporting), and lead roles in Follow Us #ICARUS and L’Accord de Trop.
Alongside acting, Leo has developed a growing body of work as a writer and director, shaping a cinematic voice that favors atmosphere, emotional undercurrents, and open narratives over rigid structure. His films are less about resolution and more about experience, inviting the audience to observe, feel, and reflect.
This approach is visible in Lapin Blanc, a poetic short film exploring memory and absence through a quiet, surreal encounter in nature. Minimal in dialogue and grounded in visual storytelling, the film reflects his interest in presence, loss, and the invisible threads between people.
His latest short film, Christelle, marks a new step in this direction. Developed within a student film context, Christelle explores youth, relationships, and the fragile dynamics of connection within an urban setting. Blending naturalistic performances with a nostalgic and intimate visual style, Christelle captures a moment of life that feels both immediate and already slipping into memory. The project also features Leo’s original music, reinforcing his multidisciplinary approach to storytelling.
Leo is currently completing a Master’s degree in screenwriting while continuing his training and work as an actor. His artistic influences range from the dreamlike worlds of David Lynch to the conversational realism of Richard Linklater and the emotional storytelling of Steven Spielberg, shaping a sensibility that balances introspection with accessibility.
Across all his work, whether in front of or behind the camera, Leo Saint Thomas is drawn to stories that leave space: space for silence, for ambiguity, and for the audience to find meaning in what is not fully explained.
