Laura Poindexter is a native New Yorker (Harlem) who has also lived in Baltimore, MD and now resides in Atlanta, GA. Laura has always had a love for the Arts but she would have to experience some of the darker sides of life before arriving at her here and now. Unable to live with “what if” in 2016 she packed a suitcase and took a twenty-four hour bus ride from Baltimore to Atlanta. Arriving in Atlanta as a 50 year old, untrained talent. In an industry where age, race and gender play a huge part in one's ability to succeed, the odds were stacked against her. Merging her determination, passion, wisdom and experience she set out on a journey to reinvent herself. At an age when most people are thinking about retiring Laura is just getting started.
