I’m Lara Sofía, a singer-songwriter and independent producer. I was born in Hermosillo, Mexico, a distant place where the earth boils beneath your feet.

In my early twenties, I moved to Canada, where I studied music culture at Université Laval (Québec) and digital music at the University of Montreal (Montreal, Québec). Later, I relocated to Barcelona, Spain, where I continue my creative and musical exploration.

I firmly believe that if opportunities don’t come to you, you must create them. This mindset led me to produce my first album, El desierto sabe que también es mar, and now my first short film, Intraluz. My work reflects my roots, choices, and the paths I’ve taken, blending artistic vision with hands-on production.

Throughout my career, I have combined my creative practice with the international production and coordination of musical and audiovisual projects, managing teams, processes, and artistic direction from concept to completion.
