Kapel Furman has been working as a filmmaker, visual artist, and special effects artist since 1997. Focused on a new style of filmmaking, Kapel is recognized as one of the new generation of aesthetic filmmakers in Brazil. Specialized in coordinating violence sequences, gore effects and special effects make-up, his credits include more than 62 feature films. Most notably: "Embodiment of Evil"; "The Return of Red Light Bandit" ; "Yellow Mango"; "Broder"; "Drained", "Comeback". Notable TV series: Fox's "9mm: São Paulo" and "Cinelab". Notable short films: "Love from Mothers Only"; "3 Cuts" and "Ninjas". He directed and produced eight short-films with most notable shorts as "06 shots; 60ml";"Rock Rocket: Doidão", "S.W.Metaxu-Seq.01" and "The Hand". In 2011 he made his feature film directorial debut with the western "Polvora Negra". In 2015 he developed, produced and directed the visual art and feature film project "Uptake Fear". He is one of the hosts of Universal Channel/ SyFy's TV show CineLab, in its 4th season aired in 10 countries.
