International Kansk Video Festival

Nominations:

Full-length feature film

1. Professional filmmakers or video artists can submit to the Festival, as well as amateurs.

2. Festival entry is free ONLY:
- for the filmmakers who have been previously selected to any of the past Festival editions. Please request a special code via videodom@gmail.com;
- for a full-length films produced in Russia which premiere will pass at the Festival.
Please use the category 'Russian premiere' for application.

3. Only digital productions are accepted - films or video art projects:
- minimum running time of a full-length competition is 50 min;
- maximum running time for a short film competition is 30 min.

4. One author/company can submit to the Festival any number of works.

5. Each film can be entered for only one nomination at once.

6. Festival nominations: Fiction, Documentary, Experimental, Animation, Video Art.

7. The Festival accepts films completed after the 1st of January 2021. Please note, the films produced before this date will be automatically disqualified.

8. Deadline for entries - June 1, 2022. Early bird deadline - April 1, 2022.

9. If original language of your entry is neither Russian nor English, film should be subtitled in one of those two languages or an English dialogue list must be attached.

10. All submissions will be watched and reviewed by the Selection Committee.

11. The Selection Committee has the right not to inform about criteria of selection or non-selection to the main competition programme, audience award competition or any special screenings.

12. All submissions selected to the main competition programme will be screened to the Jury. Non-selected entries can be shown in the frames of the Festival special screenings, in such case a request will be sent to author/producer to confirm.

15. The list of selected films will be announced on our web-site www.kanskfest.ru after the 10th of July, 2022.

16. Authors of the films selected to the International competition are invited to participate in the festival. Usually but not obligatory we cover all local transportation costs, hotel and meal expenses for all period of stay at the Festival. In some cases, we ask for support of related embassies, funds, etc.

17. Award winners will be announced on the web-site on the 28th of August 2022, after a closing ceremony of the Festival.

18. Authors of films selected to a special screenings can participate in the Festival by their own expenses only.

19. Full Length Secateur and Short Length Secateur Winners 2022 will be invited to the Festival Jury 2023.
