Julia Rosenau, who grew up in beautiful Haltern am See, moved to Mainz at the age of 20 to study film at the University of Applied Sciences. In 2018 she graduated there with a Bachelor of Arts and continued her studies there in the Master's program. Through various internships, at the film equipment rental company Pille Film and at the production company Instant Waves in Berlin, she gained her first professional experience.
Her final Bachelor project "I AM" is an experimental video that deals with the search for identity as a young woman. The documentary "War on Plastic" was made in collaboration with filmmaker Imran Latif in 2019, and addresses in 16 minutes, the problem of plastic pollution. In 2020, Julia Rosenau shot a fashion clip for the vintage store "OLA" in Frankfurt, which is primarily about the theme of time travel.
With the music video "AHA" she realized a lifelong dream with her school friend Yula, who wrote the music for it. This appeared in July 2021.
Since October 2021, Julia Rosenau has been living in Berlin to work on exciting projects as a cinematographer, director and photographer.
