I am a Mexican cinematographer based between Madrid, Barcelona and Mexico City. I have an Undergraduate degree in Communications from the Universidad Panamericana (Mexico), and a Master’s degree in Cinematography from the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC) in Barcelona.
In my career as a cinematographer, I have worked on short films that have been selected in different film festivals around the world, such as the Guanajuato International Film Festival (Academy Award Qualifier), Feratum Film Fest, and Penitente Film Festival. Adding to my passion and experience in the film industry, I have also explored my interest in the world of advertising, having photographed the second and digital units for renowned clients like Samsung, Unilever, Pepsico, Cartier, etc.
My passion for storytelling through visual imagery has led me to be published in renowned international media such as VICE Latin America, Rolling Stone México and Buzzfeed News. I have also worked as a photographer for federal, state, and local candidates in different Mexican states as part of their campaign communications.
My photography work has been recognized by Lo Hecho en México (“La Ruta” award) and VICE MEXICO (Characters of the City contest). I collaborated in the TV spot “Yes to decent work” (Turégano, 2019),as a cinematographer, which was selected as finalist for the Caracol de Plata award.
