João Pidrança was born in Coimbra in 1998. Early on, he developed an interest in photography and video, starting to take photos at a young age. Moving from analog film and the first video tapes to digital, the act of keeping stories and images has always come naturally to him.

He works as a director, videographer, video editor, and producer, undertaking freelance projects in digital content production, teasers, performances, and concert recording.
João also signs authorial works in directing, screenwriting, and cinematography—including short films such as “O Olhar do Outro” (2025), “A Inevitabilidade de Partir um Copo” (2024), “a poltrona vazia” (2023), “E A LUZ QUE NÃO ILUMINA” (2023), and “Purificação” (2018).

He continues to explore new collaborations and document artistic processes and performances, blending technical skill with a strong authorial voice in his work.
