J.M. Vasquez, a Latina filmmaker and member of Women In Film, is an award-winning screenwriter whose work has been recognized at multiple U.S. film festivals. She wrote, produced, and directed her debut short film, "Under These Same Stars", a poignant drama, followed by "The Confession", a psychological thriller adapted from her award-winning script.
Expanding her creative pursuits, Vasquez made her lead acting debut in the Alien fan film "Alien: Insight", showcasing her passion for performance alongside her filmmaking expertise. With several short and feature films in development, as well as various other short productions underway, she remains committed to crafting compelling narratives. Drawing on her background in graphic design and photography, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to visual storytelling that captivates and inspires.
