The Johns Hopkins Film Festival has been a staple of The Film Society at Johns Hopkins since 1995! It includes a series of feature-length film screenings as well as a shorts program. That's where you come in! We're accepting animation, documentary, narrative, and experimental short film submissions. All of our selections will be screened during our festival, and we will be giving out awards in each category. This is a great opportunity for filmmakers to get exposure and recognition!

We will be awarding four prizes, one in each of our four categories: animation, documentary, narrative, and experimental film. You will receive a certificate of achievement.

We are accepting short submissions only, no features. All submissions must be digital. All submissions must be received by 3/23/2024 at the latest. Submission fees, if applicable, must be paid in full. By submitting your film for consideration, you are agreeing to have it screened during The Film Society at Johns Hopkins' festival in the spring of 2023. We welcome foreign film submissions, however we do request English language subtitles be included.
