Jess Catalano grew up in Flushing, Queens in the mid-’90s. She wrote and directed her first short film, Fantasy Prone, in 2018, which premiered at NewFilmmakers NY. In 2024, she wrote, executive produced, and starred in the comedy short Raging Doll, which premiered at Dances With Films NY and won the Audience Award for Pilot Series and Best Episodic at The Bowery Film Festival.
She has several projects in development, both on and off the camera.
She lives and writes in Brooklyn, New York.
