The Independent Talents International Film Festival is not a traditional film festival. The Independent Talents International Film Festival is about to help independent filmmakers gain the credibility and publicity they truly deserved.

The Independent Talents International Film Festival is an annual event which invites films to its competition by selecting them from its monthly and quarterly competitions. Each film must submit to one of the monthly festivals through FilmFreeWay. The Independent Talents International Film Festival is a brilliant opportunity for all filmmakers. 7- How to participate in the annual event (read carefully):
a. You must know that you don’t submit to the annual festival. Our programming team will invite all winners of monthly events and quarterly events for the annual festival (The main Independent Talents IFF). If you want to have the chance to participate in our annual festival you must submit your film to one of our monthly events. In fact, the only way to be eligible for the annual festival is to win an award in one of the monthly events.
b. First, all submitted films in a monthly event will be presented to jury to be considered for possible award recognition.
c. Second, the ITIFF jury will select and award films in the above categories: The Jury can also determine Special Mentions and Special Jury Prizes.
d. As the third stage, the Awards will be announced on the monthly Event Date via the Internet. It is requested, though not obligatory, that the Award, the Festival, and the Programme should be mentioned in all promotion material of the films awarded.
e. After that is the time for the quarterly event, winners of each category will be nominated in the same category and there will be 1 winner in each category.
f. Finally, winners of the quarterly event will be invited to the annual event and all of them will compete for the annual award in the same category.

  • A big thank you to the jury for selecting my film as a semi-finalist! It is a true honor.

The communication of the festival was clear and they replied to comments on social media, which was very nice!

It's also good that they list all the selected films on their website as some kind of proof. Not all festivals do that.

I also like that they have their own unique laurels!

However there is one thing I don't like about the festival: I actually think by selecting 150 films each month (according to their website) it makes the fact that a film is selected nothing special anymore. Also nothing happens with the films that have been selected other than them being listed on the website. But those films are not going to be screened anywhere. In my understanding a film should only be "selected" if it is actually shown at an event or online.

Maybe the value for those, who actually win in a certain category is huge, but I don't know that. I can just speculate.
