Born in 2001, Ismail Hakkı Koçak completed his primary and secondary education in İzmit, and graduated from Çorlu Anatolian High School. He later moved to Istanbul and studied Radio, Television and Cinema at Istanbul University.
He began his career in the film industry at 25 Film, where he interned under director Ali Taner Baltacı. He subsequently worked as an assistant director on various film, television, and commercial projects. Alongside his professional work, Koçak continues to pursue his own creative productions. In 2024, he wrote and directed his first short film, 220, which became the first creative work to shape his cinematic approach and narrative language. He then wrote and directed his second short film, Kesik Kulak, in 2025. As of 2026, he has also been directing commercial films.
He is a supporter of Kocaelispor. Even the sound of it is beautiful.
