IntimaLente Festival is intended to promote documentary cinema with particular attention to anthropological topics and methodologies. The international character of the festival is both desirable and unavoidable because of the specific character of the discipline and of the medium of film itself. In this inaugural round, we have chosen not to focus on specialist themes but instead to offer an array of work representing different filmic idioms and geographical areas of interest. The aim is to offer both professional and non-professional viewers a broad (if necessarily incomplete) spectrum of possibilities. We believe that this choice not only will trigger a wide exchange of ideas and themes but will also generate an extensive collaborative perspective. We have made it a core principle to select topics of general interest exhibiting both thematic diversity and relevance to the interests of non-specialist viewers. We have rejected mere exoticism as outdated and unnecessary and have aimed at a selection that, via the intimacy of the camera’s lens, extends the local and the particular to a perspective that is truly contemporary and global.

Lo scopo è di offrire sia un ampio spettro di possibilità, magari anche incomplete, sia a professionisti che a spettatori non specialisti. Crediamo che questa scelta non solòo stimoli un ampio scambio di idee e temi, ma crediamo che possa generare un'ampia propsettiva di collaborazione. Abbiamo scelto come compito principale quello di selezionare tematiche di interesse generale, e che esibiscano diversità tematiche e rilevanza d iinteresss anche per non specialisti. Rifiutiamo il mero esotico come fuori tempo e non necessario e abbiamo cercato di fare una selezione che, grazie all'intimità delle lenti fotografiche, sconfini oltre il locale e il particolare, per una prospettiva veramente contemporanea e globale.

I-Doc: competition dedicated to interactive documentaries.
The organization may decide to expand, modify or suspend the sections depending on the material received.
IL will host a series of initiatives aimed at creating a link between the public and the different cinematographic realities spread throughout the country and beyond. A space is planned in which visions will be hosted out of competition, presentations of events and film initiatives, meetings and debates with authors and professionals of the sector. Initiatives will also be supported by organizations, schools, cultural associations or other organizations that want to offer their own film production. IL is sensitive to environmental issues related to postal transport, so it has chosen the network as the only way to send movies. The works (videos or photographic stories) must be uploaded on an internet platform chosen by the user (vimeo, youtube, etc.) or sent through a data exchange service (dropbox, wetransfer, etc.).
The call is advertised through two platforms dedicated to film festivals: www.filmfreeway.com and www.festhome.com and all registration, selection and, generally, communication procedures will take place through these platforms.
Membership in IL is free and without age limits. The works and the relative cards must be sent to the festival by midnight on July 31st, 2023, under penalty of exclusion.
The films sent will not be returned and will become part of the archive of the Festival office. The Festival management reserves the right to promote and disseminate some works (at its sole discretion) also at other Festivals, Organizations, and events, upon prior notice to the author.
Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of this regulation.
GENERAL RULES
The participant has the responsibility of any possible shipping costs.
While ensuring the utmost care for the works, we accept no responsibility for any loss or damage from any cause they are generated.
The selection of visual material will be made at the discretion of the festival organization, either directly or through a method decided by it. The winners of the individual sections will be determined by a qualified jury, appointed by the organization itself.
The selected films will be offered to the public during the Festival, which is scheduled to last three days. Registration for the competition implies acceptance of the methods of presentation to the public and of the festival. In any case, the public presentation formula may be subject to changes linked to the location, the number of films, etc. It will be the responsibility of the organization to communicate the methods of performance.
The prizes will be given to the directors / producers present at the closing night of the Festival or to trusted persons delegated to receive them or delivered.
The Competition Management has the final judgment on controversial cases and on what is not provided for in this regulation.
By registering for the competition, each author is responsible for the content of his works and explicitly authorizes the organization to carry out duplications and projections of the works presented, exclusively for cultural / promotional purposes and for printing.
The works that do not meet the criteria set by the announcement or sent without complying with the directives indicated by it will be excluded from the competition.
Failure to accept the rules will result in automatic exclusion from the competition.
The data of the participants are used exclusively for a correct organizational management of the competition and to guarantee its regularity. The Organizing Body guarantees that such data will not be used for other purposes and will in no case be given to third parties.
By registering for the competition, the author / producer pursuant to Law 196/03 authorizes the Organizers of INTIMALENTE Film Festival 2023 to use my personal data for the purposes foreseen in the official regulation and the processing of personal data for institutional, connected or instrumental purposes, as well as consent to the communication and sending of the data abroad as well as to the processing of data, including through the use of electronic tools.
• By registering for the competition, the participant also authorizes the Organizers to use the e-mail address and the telephone reference for any communications.
• By registering for the competition, the participant declares to be the author of the attached Short / Documentary, and / or full holder of all copyright and related rights relating to the subject.
• By registering for the competition, the participant also authorizes the use of the Short / Documentary for the possible inclusion in promotional DVDs and eventual television passages in Italy or abroad or on web-tv.
By registering for the competition, the participant declares to fully accept the rules of the Regulation of Intimate Lente - International Festival of Ethnographic Films and authorizes the Festival organizers to distribute the work presented, exclusively for cultural and non-commercial purposes, in the established modalities by the organizers.
The participant declares to be in possession of all the necessary discharges and consents to the use of his own work also in other initiatives of a cultural and free nature curated by OLA’ - FABBRICA CREATIVA.
Furthermore, pursuant to the current legislation on data processing, you declare your consent to the processing of the data knowingly provided in the participation document and to authorize its storage in the database of the organizing Association.
In case of victory of the Competition, the author grants the widest release for the projection of his work within cultural exhibitions in Italy and abroad or for promotional purposes strictly linked to the communication of the Organizers.

b) Synopsis of the film (accepted languages: English, French, Italian);
c) Three representative images of the work;

IntimaLente (IL) è una manifestazione culturale che tende a promuovere il cinema e le culture visive in tutte le sue forme, a tal fine nell’evento sono presenti sia sezioni competitive che non competitive.
SEZIONI
IL si propone di diventare la voce del cinema documentario a vocazione etnografica, ma non disdegnerà, in futuro, di creare una sezione dedicata ai lungo e corto metraggi.
Accanto ad eventuali retrospettive creative sul cinema tout court, il festival apre due sezioni competitive destinate esclusivamente all’immagine.
L’altro sguardo: concorso di video, videoart, documentari, cortometraggi e filmati con un taglio prevalentemente etno-antropologico (si accettano lavori senza limiti di durata e realizzati anche da oltre cinque anni, ma si privilegeranno cortometraggi di recente produzione).
I-Doc: concorso dedicato ai documentari interattivi.
L’organizzazione potrà decidere di ampliare, modificare o sospendere le sezioni a seconda del materiale ricevuto.
IL ospiterà una serie di iniziative finalizzate a creare un legame tra il pubblico e le diverse realtà cinematografiche diffuse per il paese ed oltre. È previsto uno spazio in cui saranno ospitate visioni fuori concorso, presentazioni di eventi e iniziative cinematografiche, incontri e dibattiti con autori e professionisti del settore. Saranno supportate anche iniziative di Enti, scuole, associazioni culturali o altre realtà che vorranno proporre una loro produzione cinematografica. MODALITÀ DI PARTECIPAZIONE
IL è sensibile alle problematiche ambientali legate al trasporto postale per questo ha scelto come modalità di invio dei filmati esclusivamente la rete. I lavori (video o racconti fotografici) dovranno essere caricati su una piattaforma internet scelta dall’utente (vimeo, youtube, ecc.) o inviati attraverso un servizio di scambio dati (dropbox, wetransfer, ecc.).

I filmati inviati non saranno restituiti ed entreranno a far parte dell'archivio della segreteria del Festival. La direzione del Festival si riserva il diritto di promuovere e diffondere alcune opere (a suo insindacabile giudizio) anche presso altri Festival, Enti, e manifestazioni, previo avviso all’autore.
La partecipazione al concorso implica l’accettazione integrale del presente regolamento.
NORME GENERALI
Eventuali spese di spedizione sono a carico del partecipante.
Pur assicurando la massima cura per le opere si declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali smarrimenti o danneggiamenti da qualsiasi causa essi siano generati.
La selezione del materiale visivo verrà effettuata a insindacabile giudizio dell’organizzazione del festival, direttamente o tramite modalità da essa decisa. I vincitori delle singole sezioni verranno determinati da una giuria qualificata, nominata dall’organizzazione stessa.
I film selezionati verranno proposti al pubblico durante il Festival, la cui durata è prevista in tre giornate. L’iscrizione al concorso comporta l’accettazione delle modalità di presentazione al pubblico e di svolgimento del festival. In ogni caso la formula di presentazione al pubblica può essere soggetta a cambiamenti legati alla location, al numero di film, etc. Sarà cura dell’organizzazione comunicare le modalità di svolgimento.
I premi verranno consegnati ai registi/produttori presenti alla serata conclusiva del Festival o a loro persone di fiducia delegate a riceverli oppure recapitati.
Alla Direzione del Concorso spetta il giudizio finale su casi controversi e su quanto non previsto dal presente regolamento.
Con l’iscrizione al concorso, ogni singolo autore risponde del contenuto delle sue opere ed autorizza esplicitamente l’organizzazione ad effettuare duplicazioni e proiezioni delle opere presentate, esclusivamente a fini culturali/promozionali e per la stampa.
Le opere che non rispondono ai criteri previsti dal bando o inviate senza rispettare le direttive da esso indicate verranno escluse dal concorso.
La mancata accettazione del regolamento comporterà l’automatica esclusione dal concorso.
I dati dei partecipanti servono esclusivamente per una corretta gestione organizzativa del concorso e per garantirne la regolarità. L’Ente Organizzatore garantisce che tali dati non verranno utilizzati per altri scopi e non saranno ceduti in nessun caso a terzi.
Con l’iscrizione al concorso, l’autore/produttore ai sensi della L. 196/03 autorizza gli Enti Organizzatori di INTIMALENTE Film Festival 2023 all’utilizzazione dei miei dati personali per le finalità previste nel regolamento ufficiale e al trattamento dei dati personali per finalità istituzionali, connesse o strumentali, nonché il consenso alla comunicazione ed all'invio anche all'estero dei dati stessi e al trattamento dei dati anche mediante l'utilizzo di strumenti elettronici.
• Con l’iscrizione al concorso, il partecipante autorizza inoltre gli Organizzatori ad utilizzare l’indirizzo e-mail e il riferimento telefonico per eventuali comunicazioni.
• Con l’iscrizione al concorso, il partecipante dichiara di essere l’autore del Corto/Documentario allegato, e/o pieno titolare di tutti i diritti d’autore e dei diritti connessi relativi al soggetto stesso.
• Con l’iscrizione al concorso, il partecipante autorizza inoltre l’uso del Corto/Documentario per l’eventuale inclusione in DVD promozionali ed eventuali passaggi televisivi in Italia o all’estero o su web-tv.
Con l’iscrizione al concorso, il partecipante dichiara di accettare integralmente le norme del Regolamento di Intima Lente – Festival Internazionale di Film Etnografici ed autorizza gli organizzatori del Festival a diffondere l’opera presentata, esclusivamente a fini culturali e non commerciali, nelle modalità stabilite dagli organizzatori.
Il partecipante dichiara di essere in possesso di tutte le liberatorie necessarie e acconsente all’uso della propria opera anche in altre iniziative di carattere culturale e gratuito curate da OLA’ - FABBRICA CREATIVA.
Inoltre, ai sensi della normativa vigente in materia di trattamento dei dati, dichiara il proprio consenso al trattamento dei dati forniti consapevolmente nell’atto di partecipazione e di autorizzarne l’archiviazione nella banca dati dell’Associazione organizzatrice.
In caso di vittoria del Concorso, l’autore concede sin da ora la più ampia liberatoria per la proiezione della propria opera nell’ambito di rassegne culturali in Italia e all’estero o per fini promozionali strettamente legati alla comunicazione degli Enti Organizzatori.
L’iscrizione si intende completa in presenza di:
a) Link per la visione/selezione del film;
b) Sinossi del film (lingue accettate: inglese, francese, italiano);
c) Tre immagini rappresentative dell’opera;
d) Dati del regista/produzione;
e) (facoltativa) una dichiarazione dell’Autore sul lavoro presentato al festival (max una cartella dattiloscritta);
f) (facoltativo) link di un trailer scaricabile e/o visionabile on line, da utilizzare come promo.
FORMATO DELLE OPERE
Le opere partecipanti a IL dovranno avere i seguenti formati:
• i video possono essere inviati in qualsiasi formato, con una risoluzione ottimale di 1920 x 1080. Per la selezione, il file caricato non dovrà superare il peso di 1 GB (per questioni organizzative, le opere di peso superiore non possono essere scaricate - l’autore è responsabile delle scelte musicali).
• Qualora il film venisse selezionato per la competizione finale sarà cura dell’autore provvedere a fornire il film nella risoluzione e qualità che riterrà opportuno;
COMUNICAZIONI
Tutte le comunicazioni relative alle serate festival, orari di proiezione, e selezione dei finalisti saranno pubblicate sulle due piattaforme dedicate: www.filmfreeway.com, www.festhome.com, sul sito della manifestazione https://www.olafabbricacreativa.it/intimalente-film-festival/index e sulla pagina Facebook del festival (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1498567957328318).
