Ino Moses Jonah is an award-winning Nigerian filmmaker, producer, director, and creative entrepreneur whose work bridges cinema, television, and public service.
He tells bold, socially relevant stories that highlight corruption, migration, gender justice, and the resilience of ordinary Nigerians while nurturing the next generation of creative talent.
Early Life & Education
Born in Ochaja, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, Ino discovered his passion for storytelling while performing in secondary-school stage plays.
In 2005 he took his first stage role in Second Chance at Igbinedion University.
He earned a B.Sc. in Mass Communication from Kogi State University in 2012 and further honed his skills in Film and Television Production at the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) TV College in 2015.
Career Highlights
Ino began his media career with broadcast roles at ITV/Radio Benin (INTERN), Gombe Media Corporation(NYSC), and the National Broadcasting Commission (INTERN), gaining hands-on experience in television production and regulation.
He later became Senior Special Assistant on Film Projects to the Edo State Government, helping to shape policy and create opportunities for local filmmakers.
Served under the acclaimed Nigerian director Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, Ino worked as a producer on the television show BFA Half Hour and as an associate producer of the celebrated stage performance Nekighidi at NAFEST 19.
His feature producing debut came with the feature film Onaiwu (2021), followed by the migration-themed Almost (2022) as the Producer and Director, the political thriller Shadow of Sacrifice (2024), the action-drama Akate (2025), Holy Baba and I (2023), Stoic (2020), and Night Walk (2019).

Inspire Them Young 2024
Beyond filmmaking, Ino founded Inspire Them Young, a creative outreach programme introducing young people to the vast opportunities in the Nigerian creative space.
The initiative has toured leading Edo State institutions—University of Benin (Ugbowo and Ekehuan campuses), Benson Idahosa University, Wellspring University, Ambrose Alli University (Ekpoma), Edo State University (Iyamho), Igbinedion University (Okada)—and numerous secondary schools.
Guest speakers and collaborators have included celebrated content creators and comedians such as Funy P (HomeofLafta), Porkupyne, Medica, Obaro, Benjamin Olaye Jnr, Edwuado, Laugh Doctor, and director Osaze Osagie.

He advocates for integrating artificial intelligence and emerging technologies into filmmaking, offering masterclasses on AI-driven storytelling and production.
His work continues to win recognition, including the Best Film Award at ESIF Festival for ONAIWU and Best Director at the New Arts International Film Festival NAIFF 2022 for ALMOST.
