Simon Archer is a Multi-Media Artist in the Animation track with a fascination for art that functions in conversation with the history of its creator and the world.
The works produced by iWi Studio under Simon dabble with intense tones and themes from the nihilistic cryophobia of “House With No Walls”, to the overly caffeinated suicidal ideation of “Mourning Mug” Simon attempts to capture the darkness in the hearts of man and lay it to rest near the hope for a better tomorrow brought today.
Both a published poet (Bronze Hearts, in Northwest Review VL 52|03) as well as an award winning animator (House With No Walls, for best screenplay, technical achievement & animation in CAA’s annual Media arts Juried Spring Festival) Simon is a working artist who accepts commissions and attends art fairs to aid in funding such ambitious artistic endeavors.
