We know how frustrating it can be when you can’t access your account. Here’s a guide to help you troubleshoot common login issues and get back on track.
1. Not Receiving the Password Reset Email
If you’re trying to reset your password but haven’t received the email:
- Check your spam or junk folder. Sometimes our emails get filtered there due to strict spam settings.
- Make sure you’re checking the correct email address associated with your FilmFreeway account.
- If you still don’t see it, you may need to whitelist noreply@filmfreeway.com in your email settings or try using a different email client.
2. Multiple Accounts
Some submitters accidentally create more than one account using different email addresses. Others may intentionally manage multiple accounts—for example, serving as a sub-user for a festival or maintaining multiple filmmaker accounts.
Here’s how to handle multiple accounts:
- Check your account settings: Make sure you’re logging in with the email associated with the account that contains your submissions.
- Unused or duplicate accounts: If you have a blank or duplicate account created in error, we can help delete it, or you can merge your accounts so everything is consolidated under your primary account.
- Managing multiple accounts intentionally: If you manage multiple accounts using one primary login, try refreshing your page, and then hover over the downward arrow in the main menu next to your avatar. You can use this menu to toggle between your accounts accordingly.
3. Locked Accounts
Your account may be temporarily locked after multiple unsuccessful login attempts or other security measures. If your account is locked:
- Try resetting your password using the Forgot Password link.
- If you still can’t log in, our support team can unlock your account for you.
4. Other Issues
Sometimes login problems happen for less common reasons, such as browser settings, cookies, or outdated saved passwords. If none of the above applies:
- Try logging in using a different browser or device.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then attempt to log in again.
- Ensure your browser is up to date.
