At FilmFreeway, we’re committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy community for all filmmakers and festivals. As part of this commitment, we have implemented a new payout policy for first-year events.
If you are hosting a festival for the first time, please note that payouts will be issued as a single payment following your event’s end date on the 10th day of the following month in accordance with our payout policy. This means that all funds accrued from submissions will be disbursed after the successful completion of your event.

This policy helps ensure a secure experience for both festivals and filmmakers by verifying event completion before funds are released. Our goal is to maintain trust and reliability within the FilmFreeway community.

You may become eligible to adapt a monthly payout schedule in the future. We encourage you to contact our team after hosting a successful event to review your eligibility.
Next Steps to Receive Your Payout
To receive your payout after your event ends, please:
Account Verification – Complete the account verification process here.
Event Photos – Upload event photos to your FilmFreeway listing.
Press Coverage – Share links to press coverage.
Official Website Updates – Ensure your festival website reflects the completed event with winners, schedules, or recap details.
Social Media Posts – Share public posts, photos, tagged photos, and videos from the event on your social media platforms.
Event Reviews – FilmFreeway submitter reviews will be reviewed to verify attendee experiences at the event.
Online-Based Events and Contests:
Share screenshots or video clips that showcase key moments from your virtual event or contest. This may include winner announcements, participant showcases, or any live-streamed segments. Be sure to highlight elements that capture the spirit and engagement of your online event, along with sharing the other requested items such as social media posts and official website updates.
Once you have gathered all required information, please contact Festival Support to request a review of your payout eligibility.
