Heather Edwards directed her first short film after turning 50 years-old. The short titled Strayed was about dysfunctional families, messed-up priorities and cats - it received over 20 laurels while playing in film festivals across the country and internationally.
Her second short, Sky West & Crooked, had its world premier at SBIFF 2020. Based upon a true story that features original music recorded in 1972 by her late father and features Matt Jones (Breaking Bad), Martha MacIsaac (Super Bad, Battle of the Sexes), Emma Fuhrrman (Avengers: Endgame) and young rising star, Vivienne Rutherford
