Glowflare Short Film Festival invites filmmakers from around the world to submit their work for this year’s edition. The festival celebrates bold, original, and diverse short-form storytelling across a wide range of styles and formats.
Glowflare Short Film Festival is a curated event. All submissions are reviewed in full by our programming team, with selected films chosen for official screening at Parkway Cinema Beverley. Official Selections will be announced on the festival notification date.
Short films are defined as works under 40 minutes in length. Films not presented in English must include English subtitles and/or dubbing.
Please submit your film to one category only. Submitting the same film to multiple categories does not increase its chances of selection, viewing priority, or award consideration. All films are reviewed fully and considered for all applicable awards, regardless of the category selected.
Local and Student entries are designation-based categories used for administrative and award-identification purposes only. Selecting either does not restrict your film’s eligibility, programming, or award consideration. These designations help us identify films for Local and Student award consideration during the review process.
If you are a local student filmmaker, please submit your film under the Student category. Your film will still be considered for the Local award if selected.
If you have already completed the submission process for this season, please follow us on social media @GFShortFestUK for festival updates. All selection decisions will be announced on the official festival notification date. No final selections are made prior to this time.
