Giungla Collective is an Italian cultural association founded in 2018 and based in the Marche region, with operations also in Rome. The association has been producing short films and organizing events, an indie movie festival and stand up comedies.
The association believes in the power of collaborative work and aims to bring together creative talents from different fields to create innovative and impactful projects. Giungla Collective's projects are characterized by a fresh and unconventional approach, always seeking to challenge and engage the audience. The association is committed to creating a space where independent artists and cultural operators can network and collaborate, fostering a vibrant and supportive community. The association welcomes collaborations and partnerships with individuals and organizations who share its vision and values, and it has developed collaborative relationships with various cultural and productive entities throughout Italy.
Recently, Giungla Collective has expanded its activities in the Marche region, organizing stand-up comedy events and screenings of experimental films with the presence of the authors in movie theaters that had been closed due to bankruptcy. The goal of Giungla Collective is to promote cultural activities by directly carrying out projects through a broad group and collective artistic work. On summer 2023 Giungla funded the "Pirate Film Festival", an event dedicated to young indie directors.
Giungla Collective has produced a range of works, including the short film "Talafi" by Giovanni Merlini, which recently participated in prestigious festivals such as Visioni Italiane and Trieste Film Festival. They also produced "Bellavista" by Lorenzo Silano, which won the Audience Award at the Free Aquila Film Fest in 2019 and was screened in various events in Rome, and "Inseparabili" by Giovanni Merlini, which won Best Film and Best Direction at the Movie Maker Experience 2019. In 2019, they created the vertical horror web series "Vertigini," which was awarded Best Vertical Video at the Digital Media Fest 2020, and produced narrative music videos for the groups "Appendice" and "La Fabbrica del Ghiaccio." Currently, Giungla Collective has two slow budget movies in production, while also working on a documentary, "Forza e Coraggio," about the 100 years of Sambenedettese Calcio, whose homonym short won the Special Mention "Ugo Adilardi" at the prestigious Cesare Zavattini Award.
