2025 Gyeonggi Global AI Tourism Video Contest

Invitation to Global Creators The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization proudly invites creators from around the world to the "2025 Gyeonggi Global AI Tourism Video Contest." We are seeking creative and innovative videos that leverage Generative AI technology to showcase the diverse charms of Gyeonggi-do. From its hidden domestic tourism gems and the profound history of the DMZ to its growing global appeal and advanced MICE industry, we want to see Gyeonggi-do through your AI-enhanced vision.

🎥 Contest Categories Participants must choose one of the following four themes to explore:

- Domestic Gyeonggi Tourism: Promotional content targeting domestic travelers.

- Global Gyeonggi Tourism: Content targeting international travelers (Requires foreign language audio or subtitles).

- Gyeonggi DMZ: Videos highlighting the unique characteristics, symbols, and values of the DMZ.

- Gyeonggi MICE: Creative visualizations of Gyeonggi’s MICE facilities and infrastructure using AI.

👥 Eligibility & Schedule This contest is open to anyone interested in Gyeonggi Tourism, regardless of nationality or location. You may participate as an individual or as a team (maximum of 3 members, with 1 appointed representative).

📅 Submission Period: December 22, 2025 (Mon) – January 26, 2026 (Mon)
Results & Ceremony: Scheduled for February 2026, following expert evaluation.

🎞 Submission Guidelines & AI Requirements All entries must be submitted online via our official website (ggtour-ai.kr). Videos should be between 10 seconds and 3 minutes in length, submitted in MP4, MOV, or AVI format suitable for online posting.

- AI Usage: Generative AI technology must account for at least 60% of the total video content (including video, images, narration, and FX).

- Verification: To ensure transparency, participants must submit the prompts used and a "Generative AI Usage Report" (proof such as screenshots or logs) along with their entry.

- Grand Prize (1 team): 10,000,000 KRW

- Best Excellence (4 teams - 1 per category): 5,000,000 KRW each

- Excellence (4 teams - 1 per category): 3,000,000 KRW each

- Creativity Prize (8 teams - 2 per category): 1,000,000 KRW each

- Selection Prize (80 teams - 20 per category): 200,000 KRW each

- Global Grand Prize (1 team): 1,000,000 KRW

- Global Best Excellence (1 team): 500,000 KRW

- Global Excellence (10 teams): 250,000 KRW

※ Note: The Special Global Awards are conducted as additional awards separate from the General Awards. (Only foreign nationals are eligible for these awards based on evaluation results; however, winners of the General Awards are excluded.)

Entries must comply with the submission method and technical specifications. Any issues arising from failure to read these notes and rules are the sole responsibility of the participant.

Entries must be original content created by the entrant using generative AI during the submission period; they must be free of legal issues (e.g., copyright, rights of use). In the event of any dispute, all responsibility lies with the participant.

Judging scores will not be disclosed. If entries fail to meet the judging criteria, the number and/or scale of awards may be adjusted.

The submission period and the announcement date may be adjusted at the organizer’s discretion.

Multiple submissions per person/team are allowed; however, duplicate awards are not permitted—only the highest award will be granted to the same person/team.

If plagiarism is confirmed after the announcement of winners, the award may be revoked and prize money reclaimed.

Taxes and public charges on prize money are borne by the winner; prizes are paid net of withholding tax.

One certificate will be issued per winner (individual or team).

By entering, the winner (author) grants the organizer the rights to reproduce and transmit the work and to create derivative works; on the premise that appropriate compensation (certificate and prize) is granted, the economic rights (including the right to create derivative works) to the winning work vest in the organizer.
* Right to create derivative works: the right to edit, transform, adapt, produce video, or otherwise create an original work based on the original, and to exploit such works.
** Other copyright-related matters shall follow the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Guidelines for Creative Work Contests.

Winning entries may be produced into video by the organizer and used for Gyeonggi Tourism's public-interest promotions, including offline events (award presentations, exhibitions, campaigns, etc.) and online channels (YouTube, social media).
