Born in 1990 in Gera, Germany, Gerippe Unsterblich initially worked an office job unrelated to the film industry before ultimately deciding to attend acting school and pursue a degree in screen acting. After successfully completing his studies at Schule für Schauspiel Hamburg in 2019, he discovered a greater sense of fulfillment in writing and directing rather than acting.

In 2022, he co-wrote, co-produced, and co-directed his debut short film "Piecemeal" in collaboration with fellow actor Maxie Le Dévéhat. As ardent enthusiasts of genre films and DIY filmmaking, "Piecemeal" serves as their passionate hommage to the genre while also showcasing their own vision.

The film has garnered recognition and selection at esteemed genre festivals throughout Germany since its completion in 2023.

Recently, Gerippe Unsterblich has been engrossed in developing scripts for his second and third short film, respectively.
