While studying business administration at a university, the director also studied animation basics at an art school. After graduating he wrote and directed three short live-action films. Screened in Japan film festivals, they won several awards including grand prix.
His fourth short film, "The Master of Sento"(2022), won 60 awards at 63 international film festivals in 32 countries around the world and was screened at the Lucerna Palace in the Czech Republic and the historic "Opéra de Reims" opera house in France.
"The Bento on a Hot Summer's Day" (2025)which was digitally remastered from the original 16mm film footage and completely re-edited from post-production onward, was selected for the Official Selection at the Busan International Short Film Festival—Oscar Qualifying Film Festival—and screened as an international premiere at the Busan Cinema Center, known as the "Hall of Fame for cinema".
The director prefers using the 16mm film format mainly for shooting, He is currently preparing his new short film, which will also be in the 16mm film format.
