Flonja Kodheli was born in Tirana. Her family fled Albania to Belgium,after the fall of thecommunist dictatorship. She then studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Mons where she obtained a first prize in piano and chamber music. Subsequently she became more and more interested in acting and decided to devote herself to it by joining the Cours Florent in Paris. In 2013 she obtained the leading role in the film BOTA; by Thomas Logoreci and Iris Elezi. She then played in "Sworn Virgin" by Laura Bispuri, in Official Competition at the Berlinale and Nora Ephron Award at Tribeca Film Festival, the Netflix film "Rimetti a noi i nostri debiti" by Antonio Morabito, "Exil" by Visar Morina, selected at Sundance and recently in Romain Graf’s series "Helvetica", awarded Best francophone foreign fiction at the Festival of La Rochelle, in which she plays the leading role. In 2021 she directed her first short film "KA ME KALU" selected and awarded at various festivals: Bruxelles Short Film Festival, Le court en dit long-Paris, Dokufest-Kosovo, Oda Film Festival-Macadonia, International Human Rights Films Festival-Albania, Cinemamed-Bruxelles, Sguardi Altrove Film Festival-Italy...
