Event Description – Five Minute Short Film Festival

The Five Minute Short Film Festival is a celebration of storytelling in its most compact and creative form. We're inviting filmmakers from around the world to submit short films of five minutes or less, on any theme or subject. Whether it's drama, documentary, animation, experimental, or something in between—if it’s bold, original, and under five minutes, we want to see it.

The festival will take place online in February 2026, making it accessible to a global audience. We're also excited to announce that we are working toward a physical screening of selected films, giving filmmakers a chance to showcase their work on the big screen. More details on the in-person event will be announced soon.

By entering the film category you will be entered into the other awards automatically.
The Festival committee will view all films, films will be marked independently by our judges.
The Festival Committees decision is final.
Selected Films will be placed on our website and screened to an audience.

We are currently we are working towards sponsorship for the festival. Details will follow once these have been finalised.

The festival is run by an award winning filmmaker and festival creator, he is supported by a number of well established filmmakers and actors. We are all passionate about Independent film making and our aim is to allow your films to be viewed by a passionate audience, who will share with us and yourselves their views on your films.
