"Films in the Forest" (FITF) is an intimate film event held in the beautiful open-air, off-grid venue Starlight Community Hall, immersed in the sacred rainforest of the Sunshine Coast, Gubbi Gubbi Country, Queensland, Australia.

The community gathers to experience a semi-outdoor film screening, connecting with nature and like-minded people, enjoying nutritious food, with the opportunity
to contribute to environmental projects.

The mission is to show a diverse, curated selection of nature and environmental short films produced in Queensland, Australia, and Internationally, that generate ecological awareness, inspire action and collect funds to help environmental associations.

Simultaneously, we are committed to putting on a zero-waste event and giving back to the environment by donating of a portion of proceeds to environmental actions, such as planting native trees.

We believe in the power of storytelling to foster empathy and inspire positive change, making this screening day a potent catalyst for environmental action.
