1. Production Date: Films must have been completed after January 1, 2024.
2. Competitive Categories:
Surf Short Film: up to 10 minutes.
Surf Documentary: no maximum limit, but preferably under 60 minutes.
3. Submission Format:
Minimum: MOV H264 1920x1080, ProRes, or downloadable digital formats (WeTransfer, Vimeo/YouTube with password, etc.).
Physical films are not accepted.
4. Language:
Speaker-directed or subtitled films must be submitted in Spanish. If the work is in another language, it must have Spanish subtitles or a .srt file must be submitted for translation.
5. Required Materials:
At the time of application, applications must be submitted through filmfreeway.
- Synopsis in Spanish and English
- 2 images from the film (min. 1920x1080) + 1 photo of the director
- Biography and filmography of the director
- Technical and artistic dossier
- Private link to the trailer or full film (Vimeo, YouTube, or similar)
6. Submission Deadline:
September 30, 2025
7. Selection and Rights:
A selection committee will evaluate the films and define the programming.
The festival may use excerpts (max. 1 minute), images, and text for media, social media, and promotional campaigns.
Selected films may be screened at festival-related screenings (e.g., On the Road - Surfestival Chile).
All submitted materials will be archived and will not be returned.

1. Fecha de producción: Las películas deben haber sido terminadas después del 1 de enero de 2024.
2. Categorías competitivas:
Cortometraje de Surf: hasta 10 minutos.
Documental de Surf: sin límite máximo, pero preferentemente bajo los 60 minutos.
3. Formato de envío:
Minimo: MOV H264 1920x1080, ProRes o formatos digitales descargables (WeTransfer,
Vimeo/YouTube con clave, etc.).
No se aceptan películas en formato físico.
4. Idioma:
Películas habladas o subtituladas en español. Si la obra está en otro idioma, deberá contar con subtítulos en español o enviar archivo .srt para su traducción.
5. Materiales requeridos:
Al momento de la postulación, se deben postular a traves de filmfreeway
-Sinopsis en español e inglés
-2 imágenes de la película (mín. 1920x1080) + 1 foto del director/a
-Biografía y filmografía del director/a
-Dossier técnico y artístico
-Enlace privado al tráiler o película completa (Vimeo, YouTube o similar)
6. Fecha límite de inscripción:
30 de septiembre de 2025
7. Selección y derechos:
Un comité seleccionador evaluará las películas y definirá la programación.
El festival podrá utilizar fragmentos (máx. 1 minuto), imágenes y textos para difusión en medios, redes sociales y campañas promocionales.
Las películas seleccionadas podrán exhibirse en funciones asociadas al festival (ej. On the Road - Surfestival Chile)
Todo material enviado quedará archivado y no será devuelto.
