ETER International Anima Festival is a new chapter in Łódź’s animated film festival scene, continuing the legacy of StopTrik while expanding it into a recurring, comprehensive international event. Set in the industrial space of EC1 Łódź – City of Culture, a venue deeply connected with the heritage of the legendary Se-ma-for Studio, the festival creates a vivid dialogue between the tradition of stop-motion animation and the possibilities of contemporary 3D techniques.

At the heart of the programme are three competition strands: the International Main Competition, the Polish Animation Competition, and the International Children’s Film Competition. Alongside these, a rich selection of non-competitive sections, including Poland in Motion, Focus on Norway and Best of…, will showcase over 70 short and feature-length artistic films. The programme will include bold debuts, innovative auteur works and titles awarded at some of the world’s leading festivals.

Beyond screenings, ETER offers workshops, masterclasses and panel discussions designed for filmmakers, students and audiences interested in independent and non-commercial cinema. The festival supports Polish animation, strengthens the visibility of emerging creators and builds an intergenerational audience through audience voting, accessibility initiatives and an open, inclusive approach.

Rooted in the urban fabric of Łódź, ETER follows the idea of a “human festival” - welcoming, accessible and built around real encounters between artists, audiences and the city itself.
