Films must be 10–30 minutes in length (including credits).

Submissions must be short films rooted in Tamil language, heritage, culture, literature, arts, or Tamil diaspora experiences.

Movie made in other languages and AI has to reference which Tamil literature, book or. writer the movie is based on.

Films may be in any language or silent, but English subtitles are mandatory for all spoken dialogue.

Promotional, commercial, or advertisement-style content is not eligible.

Films must be original works. Submitters must own or have secured all rights (story, music, visuals).

A submission fee is required. Fee structure and deadlines are listed on FilmFreeway.

Not all submissions will be selected. Official selections are at the sole discretion of the festival jury. No feedback will be provided for non-selected films.

The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with festival values.

Selected films for live screenings must provide a DCP with English subtitles.

By submitting, filmmakers authorize GTF Festival Awards Miami to use posters, trailers, synopses, and stills for promotional purposes.

Filmmakers retain full ownership of their films.
