Call for erotic art films.

From sensual to shocking, we are looking for a new generation of filmmakers to put their spin on erotica.

The Dirty Show® is an internationally renowned erotic art exhibition. Now in it’s 27th year, The Dirty Show® has become one of the most important and best attended exhibitions of it’s kind in the world. Occurring for 2 weekends around Valentine's Day in Detroit, the show attracts a crowd of more than 10,000 patrons with over 2,000 per night. It’s a perfect demographic to showcase your erotic film. The Cinerotic™ Film Festival will be part of and take place within the annual Dirty Show® exhibition.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

That’s up to you. Surprise us. While we are partial to edgy art, we also have a great respect talent and craft. We don’t have our minds made up beforehand. We want the audience to see what’s in your mind. Your filmic vision. As long as it is legal and it is created by you, we aren’t going to censor.

Rules & Terms

Film submission are now being accepted for inclusion within the 2027 Cinerotic™ Film Festival. Please note that to qualify for submission:

• Your film subject must include or be related to the theme of the event, which is eroticism, sexuality, fetish, lifestyle, pornography, sex activism, etc.
• You must be the film’s writer, director, producer, or distributor.
• All filmmakers and actors must be 18 years or older.
• Non-English films must include English subtitles.
• The total running time must not exceed 15 minutes.
• A review copy must be available for viewing via FilmFreeway.
• If selected, your film must be provided in a downloadable digital format.

The final deadline for submissions is December 1st.

Withdrawal Policy: Premiere status is not required for submission. Should your film be selected by another festival with exclusivity requirements, you may withdraw your film on FilmFreeway prior to our submission deadline. After official selection, films are integrated into our program and, regrettably, cannot be removed.

Screening Rights: If selected, you grant the Cinerotic and the Dirty Show the right to publicly screen your film at the designated venue on the dates of the event.

    It's always exciting to submit to this festival. I don't get to physically go but I have been sending artworks and film for a few years now. Everytime I see my friends go they send pictures to some of the wild and cool things that get showcased there. It's very worth the time to submit! I would like to see a little more advertising in the other aspects of the festival other then the performers. From the outside it really only looks like a burlesque dance show. But when I see photos of what else happens it shows how much bigger the event actually is. Worthit!
