Global Students Film Workshop is hosted by the School of Media at Yanjing Institute of Technology and takes place annually in June during the Chaobai International Short Film Week. The workshop aims to create a platform for young filmmakers worldwide to engage in cross-cultural exchange and hands-on collaboration. Outstanding student filmmakers and their works are invited to China, where they will visit the School of Media at Yanjing Institute of Technology to exchange ideas and explore new possibilities in cinematic storytelling.
Each season ,all selected students filmmakers can receive up to RMB 40,000 in production funding. Projects exceeding this budget will not be supported by the organizing committee.
During the workshop, the school will provide basic production funding to support selected student creators from around the world in producing short films. Under the guidance of professional mentors, participants will have the opportunity to develop their creative visions and bring them to life. All workshop-produced films, along with selected competition entries, will be eligible to compete for the main awards of the Chaobai International Short Film Week, with screenings taking place during the festival.
